Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CS-01 is a next-generation, clinic-ready active immunotherapy developed by CelSiege Biosciences. It is designed to deplete circulating epidermal growth factor (EGF) in patients with squamous non-small cell lung cancer (sqNSCLC) who have high serum EGF levels. This approach aims to inhibit EGF-high tumors while sparing normal tissue, offering a more precise therapeutic strategy compared to broad anti-EGFR monoclonal antibodies. CS-01 has demonstrated superior immunogenicity and potency compared to CIMAvax-EGF, a first-generation EGF-depleting immunotherapy, and has a strong safety profile. It has received Clinical Trial Application approval in both the EU and the UK and is set to enter a Phase I/II study in metastatic sqNSCLC patients after first-line platinum-based chemotherapy.
