Overview

CS-1 CAR-T cells are an autologous, fully human chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting the CS-1 (also known as SLAMF7 or CD319) antigen. Developed by Beijing Boren Hospital, this therapy is primarily investigated for the treatment of relapsed and refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM). CS-1 is highly and nearly universally expressed on malignant plasma cells in multiple myeloma, making it a viable target, especially for patients who have failed or are ineligible for BCMA-targeted therapies. The fully human nature of the CAR construct is intended to reduce immunogenicity and potentially improve the persistence of the T cells in the patient's body.
