Overview

CS-2032 is a recombinant zoster (shingles) vaccine developed by CanSino Biologics Inc. in collaboration with Vaccitech. It utilizes chimpanzee adenovirus vector (ChAdOx1 Vector technology) to deliver antigens of the varicella-zoster virus, thereby stimulating both cellular and humoral immunity. The vaccine is intended for adults over 50 to prevent skin shingles and neuralgia caused by the varicella-zoster virus. Pre-clinical research data suggests that CS-2032 elicits a significantly higher systemic cellular response compared to Shingrix, another recombinant zoster vaccine. No animal-derived ingredients are used in its production.
