Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CS060304 is a novel thyroid hormone receptor beta (THR-β) agonist with highly specific enrichment in liver tissue. It's being developed for metabolic conditions including hypercholesterolemia and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). Preclinical data shows promising results in improving NAS scores and fibrosis in NASH mouse models, with characteristics of low effective dosage, significant efficacy, and good tolerability. The drug target is the same as MGL-3196 (Resmetirom), but CS060304 reportedly demonstrates significantly positive preclinical data compared to Resmetirom.
