Overview

CS12088 is a small molecule HBV core assembly modulator (CAM) developed by Chipscreen Biosciences for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B. It functions by interfering with the assembly of the HBV nucleocapsid, which blocks the packaging of viral pre-genomic RNA (pgRNA) into the core. This action inhibits the replication of HBV DNA and the production of mature infectious viral particles. CS12088 is designed with liver-targeting properties to maximize antiviral efficacy while maintaining a favorable safety and tolerability profile.
