Overview

CS2009 + paclitaxel is a combination therapy comprising CS2009, a tri-specific antibody, and the taxane chemotherapy paclitaxel. CS2009 is engineered to target programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), the costimulatory receptor 4-1BB (CD137), and human serum albumin (HSA). Its mechanism involves conditional 4-1BB activation that is strictly dependent on PD-L1 binding, aiming to localize immune stimulation to the tumor microenvironment and minimize systemic inflammatory toxicities, while the HSA component extends its pharmacokinetic profile. Paclitaxel complements this by binding to tubulin and stabilizing microtubules, which inhibits mitosis and leads to cancer cell death. Developed by CStone Pharmaceuticals, this combination is being evaluated in Phase I/II trials for advanced solid tumors, including lung, gastric, and ovarian cancers.
