Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CS2016 is a bispecific antibody developed by CStone Pharmaceuticals that simultaneously targets TNF-like ligand 1A (TL1A) and the α4β7 integrin. It is currently in early-stage development as part of CStone's Pipeline 2.0, which focuses on immunology and inflammation. By inhibiting TL1A, the drug aims to reduce pro-inflammatory cytokine production and fibrosis, while its antagonism of α4β7 is intended to block the trafficking of gut-homing T cells into the intestinal mucosa. This dual mechanism is specifically designed for the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, potentially offering superior efficacy compared to monotherapies targeting either pathway alone.
