Overview

CS23546 is an orally available, small molecule inhibitor of programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), developed by Chipscreen Biosciences. It acts by binding to PD-L1 and inducing its endocytosis, thereby disrupting the immunosuppressive activity mediated by the PD-1/PD-L1 signaling pathway. This mechanism aims to restore immune system activity against tumor cells. Preclinical studies have shown that CS23546 has good oral absorption and favorable pharmacokinetics, with significant antitumor efficacy in various tumor transplantation models. The drug is being investigated as a next-generation oral immune checkpoint inhibitor for the treatment of advanced malignant tumors and potentially other immune-related diseases mediated by PD-L1 signals. As of June 2023, it has been approved for clinical trials in China for advanced cancers and is currently in phase 1 clinical development[1][2][4][5][6].
