Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CS27109 is a small molecule dual agonist of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors alpha (PPARα) and delta (PPARδ), currently under development by Chipscreen Biosciences. It is primarily being investigated for the treatment of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), also known as metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). By activating PPARα and PPARδ, the drug aims to modulate lipid metabolism, reduce inflammation, and improve insulin sensitivity, addressing the underlying metabolic dysregulation associated with fatty liver disease. As of the latest pipeline updates, CS27109 is in Phase 1 clinical development.
