Overview

The csHSP70 monoclonal antibody (specifically clone 239-87) is a preclinical-stage biologic that targets cell surface Heat Shock Protein 70 (csHSP70), a stress-inducible protein highly expressed on the surface of various hematologic malignancies, including T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) and multiple myeloma, but absent on normal cells. Developed by researchers at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Asylia Therapeutics, the antibody has been utilized in multiple therapeutic formats, including an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) linked to monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE) and bispecific T-cell engagers (BiTEs) co-targeting CD3. These constructs induce apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in target cancer cells and have shown efficacy in preclinical models of peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL).
