Overview

CSL405 is an investigational, cell-based influenza A (H2N3) vaccine being developed by CSL Behring as a pre-pandemic or pandemic preparedness candidate for protection against influenza A virus infections caused by H2N3 strains. As a cell culture–derived influenza vaccine, it functions as an immunostimulant, presenting inactivated or antigenic viral components to the immune system to elicit strain-specific and cross-reactive humoral and cellular immune responses that may confer protection against infection and disease. Development is in early clinical stages, with the program focused on evaluating safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity as part of CSL’s broader influenza vaccine and pandemic preparedness portfolio.
