CT-005 is a llama-derived nanobody therapeutic developed by Coagulant Therapeutics that targets Activated Protein C (APC). As a nanobody, it is a small (approximately 15 kDa) antibody fragment designed to bind specifically to the exosite of APC, thereby inhibiting its anticoagulant function. This mechanism is intended to restore hemostatic balance in patients with severe bleeding disorders or acute coagulopathies. CT-005 is part of a broader APC-targeting program that leverages a proprietary nanobody library to address conditions where the coagulation cascade is dysregulated. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development, with potential applications in treating trauma-induced coagulopathy, hemophilia, ischemia, and sepsis.
