CT-102 is an activated platelet supernatant (APST) developed by Curative Technologies for the treatment of chronic, non-healing wounds, specifically diabetic neurotrophic foot ulcers. It is a biologic product derived from homologous platelets that have been stimulated to release their alpha-granule contents. The resulting supernatant contains a complex, synergistic mixture of multiple growth factors and cytokines, including platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), epidermal growth factor (EGF), transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta), platelet-derived angiogenesis factor (PDAF), platelet factor 4 (PF-4), and both acidic and basic fibroblast growth factors (aFGF and bFGF). These factors work together to accelerate the wound-healing cascade by promoting cell proliferation, chemotaxis, and angiogenesis. CT-102 was historically marketed as part of the Procuren wound care system during the 1990s.
