CT-4201

CT-4201 is a novel small molecule prodrug of psilocin developed by CaaMTech. It is designed to improve upon the pharmacokinetic properties of psilocybin, the naturally occurring prodrug found in "magic mushrooms." The drug aims to provide enhanced therapeutic effectiveness and more predictable pharmacokinetics compared to psilocybin. Its primary indication is for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). CT-4201 acts as a serotonergic psychedelic, likely exerting its effects through partial agonism at serotonin receptors, particularly the 5-HT2A receptor.
