**CT-47463** is a dinuclear platinum compound and an analogue of BBR3610, designed to improve metabolic stability and reduce irreversible plasma protein binding compared to earlier platinum agents. It features capronate alkylcarboxylate leaving groups replacing chlorides, functioning as a DNA-binding agent that forms interstrand crosslinks, disrupts DNA synthesis, induces cell cycle arrest (particularly G1 and G2 phases), and inhibits cell proliferation in cancer cells, including colorectal cancer lines like HCT116. Developed as part of efforts to create non-classical platinum chemotherapeutics complementary to cisplatin and oxaliplatin, it shows promise in p53-dependent antiproliferative effects and has been highlighted as an attractive candidate for further development as an anticancer agent.[1][6]
