CT-P27 is a combination of two human monoclonal antibodies (CT120 and CT149) developed by Celltrion for the treatment and prevention of influenza A virus infections. It acts as a broad-spectrum antiviral agent, neutralizing multiple subtypes of both group 1 and group 2 influenza A viruses, including pandemic and seasonal strains such as H1, H2, H3, H5, H7, and H9. The mechanism of action involves inhibition of viral fusion through modulation of the influenza virus haemagglutinin glycoprotein. Preclinical studies demonstrated in vivo therapeutic efficacy, long prophylactic potency, and synergistic effects when combined with oseltamivir. Clinical development reached phase II trials for acute uncomplicated influenza A infection[1][2][5][8].
