Overview

CT-P52 is a proposed biosimilar to ixekizumab being developed by Celltrion as a biologic therapy targeting interleukin-17A (IL-17A), primarily for inflammatory conditions such as psoriasis and other autoimmune diseases where the reference product Taltz is indicated. As a monoclonal antibody directed against IL-17A, it is designed to neutralize this pro‑inflammatory cytokine and thereby reduce pathogenic Th17‑driven inflammation. A phase 1, randomized, double-blind, parallel-group, single-dose study in healthy subjects is underway to compare the pharmacokinetics, safety, and immunogenicity of CT-P52 with US‑licensed Taltz, supporting its development as a biosimilar.
