Overview

CT0180 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy being developed by CARsgen Therapeutics in collaboration with Zhejiang University for the treatment of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The therapy consists of a patient's own T cells engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) that specifically targets glypican-3 (GPC3), a cell-surface oncofetal antigen overexpressed in the majority of HCC cases but with limited expression in normal adult tissues. By binding to GPC3, the engineered T cells are directed to recognize and eliminate GPC3-positive tumor cells. CT0180 is currently undergoing Phase I clinical evaluation to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in patients with GPC3-positive advanced HCC.
