Overview

CT048 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting Claudin-18.2 (CLDN18.2), a tight junction protein frequently overexpressed in gastrointestinal cancers. Developed by Peking University, CT048 is specifically engineered to co-express cytokines, a design feature intended to enhance the expansion, persistence, and anti-tumor activity of the CAR-T cells within the immunosuppressive microenvironment of solid tumors. The therapy is currently being investigated in Phase 1 clinical trials for patients with advanced CLDN18.2-positive solid tumors, including gastric adenocarcinoma, gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma, and pancreatic cancer, who have failed at least one prior line of systemic treatment.
