Overview

CT0594CP is an allogeneic, universal chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy developed by CARsgen Therapeutics. It is designed to target B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), a protein highly expressed on malignant plasma cells in multiple myeloma and plasma cell leukemia. As an allogeneic product, the CAR T cells are derived from healthy donors rather than the patient, allowing for off-the-shelf use. Upon administration, these engineered T cells specifically bind to tumor cells expressing BCMA and induce cytotoxicity against them through immune-mediated mechanisms. The therapy is currently being evaluated in clinical trials for relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma and plasma cell leukemia[1][3][5].
