CT0596 is an allogeneic, BCMA-targeted chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy developed by CARsgen Therapeutics. It is designed for the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma and plasma cell leukemia. The therapy utilizes donor-derived T cells engineered to express a CAR targeting B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), a protein highly expressed on malignant plasma cells. Early clinical data indicate that CT0596 demonstrates a favorable safety profile with no dose-limiting toxicities, grade 3 or higher cytokine release syndrome, immune effector cell–associated neurotoxicity syndrome, or graft-versus-host disease reported in initial studies. Preliminary efficacy results show high rates of complete response and minimal residual disease negativity in heavily pretreated patients[2][3][5]. The product is being evaluated in early phase 1 trials in China.
