Overview

CT071 is a fully human, autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by CARsgen Therapeutics. It targets G protein-coupled receptor class C group 5 member D (GPRC5D), a protein highly expressed on malignant plasma cells and minimally present on normal tissues. CT071 is manufactured using the proprietary CARcelerate platform, which expedites production to under 2 days, yielding younger and potentially more potent CAR T cells. The therapy is being investigated for relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) and relapsed/refractory primary plasma cell leukemia (PCL). Early clinical data show high response rates in heavily pretreated patients with an acceptable safety profile[1][3][4][5][7][8].
