Overview

CT080 is an autologous second-generation chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy developed by Guangdong Celconta Biotechnology. It is engineered to target Guanylyl Cyclase C (GCC), also known as GUCY2C, a transmembrane cell surface receptor that is normally restricted to the apical membrane of intestinal epithelial cells but is highly expressed in metastatic colorectal cancer and other gastrointestinal malignancies. By utilizing a 2nd-generation CAR platform, CT080 aims to selectively recognize and eliminate GCC-positive tumor cells, triggering T-cell activation and targeted tumor cell lysis. The therapy is currently in the clinical research stage for the treatment of GCC-positive solid tumors.
