Overview

CT101A (also known as WU-NK-101) is an allogeneic, off-the-shelf, non-genetically engineered (non-GE) natural killer (NK) cell therapy. Developed by Wugen and licensed to Alpha Biopharmaceuticals for development in Greater China, the therapy utilizes "memory-like" NK cells. These cells are cytokine-induced (typically using a cocktail of IL-12, IL-15, and IL-18) to exhibit enhanced effector function, increased persistence, and superior metabolic fitness compared to conventional NK cells. CT101A is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML), including in haploidentical donor settings, and is also being explored for potential applications in solid tumors.
