CT102A-22 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting the CD22 antigen. Developed by Tongji Hospital of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, it is designed for the treatment of relapsed, refractory, or high-risk B-cell malignancies, including B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) and B-cell lymphoma. CD22 is a cell surface protein expressed on most B-lineage cells and is a common target for CAR-T therapy, particularly in patients who have relapsed after CD19-targeted treatments. The therapy involves genetically modifying a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that recognizes and binds to CD22-expressing tumor cells, leading to their destruction. It is often evaluated in clinical protocols alongside or in sequence with CD19-targeted CAR-T products like CT101A-19.
