Overview

CT109 is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting CEACAM5 and CEACAM6, glycosylphosphatidylinositol-linked cell adhesion molecules that are highly expressed in epithelial cancers including colorectal and pancreatic cancer. CT109 binds a novel glycoepitope on its targets and demonstrates high specificity and internalization upon binding cancer cells. Its main intended use is as an antineoplastic therapy for refractory metastatic colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, and potentially other solid tumors. CT109 has demonstrated promising preclinical efficacy as both a standalone antibody and as an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC), particularly in the CT109-SN-38 form where it is conjugated to the cytotoxic agent SN-38, exhibiting dose- and antigen-dependent killing of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma cells. Clinical development is in late preclinical stages, with planned human trials[1][2].
