Overview

CT1390B is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting C-type lectin-like molecule-1 (CLL-1, also known as CLEC12A). It is being developed by the Institute of Hematology & Blood Diseases Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, for the treatment of relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML). CLL-1 is a cell surface glycoprotein highly expressed on AML blasts and leukemic stem cells but absent on normal hematopoietic stem cells, making it a promising target for CAR-T therapy to minimize off-target myelotoxicity. The therapy involves the genetic modification of a patient's T cells to express a CAR that recognizes CLL-1, followed by expansion and re-infusion into the patient to induce T-cell mediated lysis of the malignant cells.
