CT253 (also known as XKDCT253) is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy developed by Guangdong Celconta Biotechnology. It utilizes the company's proprietary Boost-CAR platform to target Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2), a protein frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors, particularly gastric and gastroesophageal junction cancers. The Boost-CAR technology is designed to enhance the expansion and persistence of CAR-T cells in the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. CT253 is currently being evaluated in clinical trials for the treatment of CLDN18.2-positive advanced solid malignant tumors, including gastric, esophageal, and gastroesophageal junction cancers.
