Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CTB006 is a recombinant anti-human Death Receptor 5 (DR5) monoclonal antibody developed by Beijing Tongwei Times Biotechnology. It is designed to target and activate DR5 (also known as TRAIL-R2), a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily that, upon ligation, triggers the extrinsic apoptotic pathway in cancer cells. By mimicking the pro-apoptotic activity of the TRAIL ligand, CTB006 aims to selectively induce programmed cell death in tumor cells while minimizing impact on normal tissues. The drug has been investigated in Phase 1 clinical trials in China as a monotherapy for patients with advanced solid tumors who have exhausted standard treatment options.
