Overview

CTC multi-antigen activated immune cells are a form of cell therapy designed to target circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in cancer patients. These therapies involve isolating immune effector cells—such as T lymphocytes—from a patient, activating and expanding them ex vivo using multiple tumor-associated antigens, and then reinfusing them into the patient. The goal is to enhance the body's ability to recognize and eliminate CTCs, which play a crucial role in cancer metastasis. By targeting multiple antigens present on CTCs, this approach aims to overcome tumor heterogeneity and reduce the risk of immune escape by cancer cells. This strategy is considered an investigational immunotherapy primarily for oncology indications.
