Overview

CTCE-0214 is a synthetic peptide drug that acts as a stable agonist of stromal cell-derived factor 1 (SDF-1, also known as CXCL12), mimicking its activity. It targets the chemokine CXC receptor 4 (CXCR4) and is designed to stimulate the proliferation, homing, engraftment, and mobilization of hematopoietic stem cells. CTCE-0214 increases levels of white blood cells (neutrophils) and platelets in the blood and has shown potential for aiding immune system recovery following chemotherapy by enhancing bone marrow function. Preclinical studies have demonstrated anti-inflammatory effects in models of systemic inflammation and sepsis. The drug was developed primarily for indications such as stem cell mobilization and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation but has not advanced beyond early clinical trials[1][2][3][5][6].
