Overview

CTH-004 is an autologous CAR-T cell therapy under development for the treatment of ovarian cancer. It is created by genetically modifying a patient's own T cells to insert a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) that targets tumor-associated glycoprotein 72 (TAG-72), a marker expressed on ovarian cancer cells. Additionally, genes involved in suppression of T cell function are deleted to enhance therapeutic efficacy. The drug is being developed by Cartherics, an Australian biotechnology company specializing in immune cell therapies for cancer. As of early 2024, CTH-004 remains in preclinical development[1][3][4][5][7].
