Overview

CTHRC-1 monoclonal antibody is an experimental biologic therapeutic designed to target the collagen triple helix repeat-containing protein 1 (CTHRC-1). CTHRC-1 is a secreted glycoprotein that is highly expressed in various cancers, including cervical, pancreatic, melanoma, and breast carcinoma, where it is associated with increased cell migration, invasion, and metastasis. The antibody works by binding to and neutralizing CTHRC-1, thereby inhibiting its ability to promote epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and wound healing in malignant cells. Preclinical research has demonstrated that this antibody can significantly attenuate the metastatic potential of cervical cancer cells in vitro and inhibit lung metastasis in vivo, suggesting its potential as a targeted therapy for advanced or metastatic malignancies.
