Overview

**CTP-amio** is a preclinical cardiomyocyte-targeted peptide-drug conjugate developed by Vivasc Therapeutics in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh. It covalently links Vivasc's Cardiac Targeting Peptide to amiodarone to preferentially deliver the antiarrhythmic payload to cardiomyocytes, with the goal of retaining antiarrhythmic activity at a lower systemic amiodarone exposure and thereby reducing off-target toxicity. Published preclinical work in guinea pigs evaluated cardiac electrophysiologic effects, while an NIH NHLBI Phase I STTR award supported further pharmacology, toxicology, and larger-animal development toward a future IND.
