CTR-107

CTR-107 (Noregen) is a first-in-class regenerative recombinant protein therapeutic modeled on human norrin, an atypical Wnt pathway ligand that guides retinal vascular and neuronal development, being developed by Caeregen Therapeutics for retina-related vision loss, initially Familial Exudative Vitreoretinopathy (FEVR). CTR-107 is a synthetic targeted growth factor designed to mimic norrin’s ability to promote the development, repair, and regeneration of organized retinal blood vessels and neurons, with the goal of restoring retinal function and reversing or preventing vision loss in ischemic vitreoretinopathies and other inherited or acquired retinal diseases, and with potential applications in other neurosensory tissues such as the ear and central nervous system.[1][3][5][11][13]
