Overview

cTRL-001 is an investigational cell therapy developed by cTRL Therapeutics for the treatment of solid tumors. It is based on the isolation and expansion of circulating tumor-reactive lymphocytes (cTRLs) from peripheral blood using the company's proprietary IsoQore platform. Unlike traditional tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapies, which require surgical resection of tumors, cTRL-001 enables a non-invasive approach through a simple blood draw. Preclinical data suggest that these circulating T cells exhibit lower exhaustion markers and higher memory/activation markers compared to TILs, potentially offering improved functionality and tumor reactivity. The therapy aims to provide a safer, more scalable, and accessible option for patients with various solid tumors[1][2][3].
