Overview

CTRP9 is a novel adipokine closely related to adiponectin. It plays a significant role in regulating glucose and lipid metabolism, vasodilation, and cell differentiation by activating various signaling pathways. It has been implicated in protecting against atherosclerosis and improving outcomes in cardiovascular diseases like diabetic heart injury and atrial fibrillation. CTRP9 also shows potential as a biomarker for ischemic stroke.
