Overview

CTX-002 is a preclinical bispecific antibody being developed by Central Therapeutics for the treatment of atopic dermatitis within the inflammation and immunology (I&I) therapeutic area. The drug is designed to simultaneously modulate both the Th1 and Th2 inflammatory pathways, aiming to achieve efficacy comparable to JAK inhibitors (such as Rinvoq) while maintaining a safety profile similar to established biologics like Dupixent. A key feature of CTX-002 is its ability to target a specific epitope that preserves the critical Th1 binding protein negative feedback loop, which is intended to optimize its therapeutic index. Central Therapeutics was founded in 2025 by ADAR1 Partners, and as of 2026, CTX-002 is estimated to be approximately 18 months away from entering clinical trials.
