CTX-003

CTX-003 is a preclinical-stage RNA therapeutic developed by Ceria Therapeutics for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. It is an orally administered formulation consisting of a microRNA-146a (miRNA-146a) mimic conjugated to a cerium oxide nanoparticle. The mechanism of action involves the suppression of Interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 1 (IRAK1) and TNF receptor-associated factor 6 (TRAF6), which are key mediators in the TLR4/NF-kB inflammatory signaling pathway. By downregulating these targets, CTX-003 aims to reduce pathological inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract.
