CTX-ADM is a series of microsurfaced acellular dermal matrix (ADM) products developed by CellTherX for advanced wound healing and surgical soft tissue repair. These biological medical devices are derived from cadaveric skin grafts and processed using a proprietary microsurfacing technology that increases the surface area at the graft-to-host interface. This structural modification is designed to facilitate rapid blood absorption, enhanced cellular infiltration, and improved angiogenesis, leading to faster and more consistent incorporation of the graft into the host tissue. CTX-ADM is primarily indicated for the treatment of deep second- and third-degree burns (partial-thickness and full-thickness wounds), gum recession in periodontal surgery, and general surgical soft tissue repair. Clinical trials have demonstrated that the microsurfaced architecture results in greater graft thickness and superior cellular infiltration compared to traditional control grafts.
