Overview

CTX0E03 DP is an allogeneic, conditionally immortalized human neural stem cell (NSC) line developed for the treatment of neurological and vascular disabilities. The cells are derived from human fetal brain tissue and modified with a c-mycER^TAM transgene, which allows for controlled expansion in the presence of 4-hydroxytamoxifen (4-OHT) during manufacturing. Once implanted, the cells do not require 4-OHT and cease to proliferate, instead functioning through paracrine signaling. The therapeutic effect is mediated by the secretion of growth factors and exosomes that promote endogenous neurogenesis, angiogenesis, and tissue repair in the damaged area. The product was primarily evaluated in the PISCES clinical trial program for patients with stable motor deficits following an ischemic stroke and was also investigated for peripheral arterial disease.
