CU-00213 is a preclinical-stage small molecule drug candidate being developed by AcureX Therapeutics that targets the CaV3.2 T-type calcium channel. It is designed as a selective inhibitor or modulator of the voltage-dependent T-type calcium channel subunit alpha-1H for the potential treatment of several neurodegenerative conditions, including Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson's disease, and Frontotemporal Dementia with Tau pathology (FTD-Tau), as well as chronic pain. Developed in collaboration with Stanford University, CU-00213 is engineered to cross the blood-brain barrier to provide disease-altering therapeutic effects. As of the latest pipeline updates, the program is in the lead optimization phase.
