Overview

Cu-RAX301 is a copper-64 ([64Cu]) labeled radiopharmaceutical developed by RadAlliance Therapeutics for the diagnostic imaging of prostate cancer. It consists of a high-affinity small molecule ligand (RAX301) that specifically targets the prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), a protein highly expressed on the surface of prostate cancer cells. By utilizing the positron-emitting isotope Copper-64, Cu-RAX301 enables high-resolution PET/CT imaging to detect primary tumors and metastatic lesions. The agent is currently being evaluated in Phase I/II clinical trials (such as the COPRA424 study) for various patient populations, including those scheduled for radical prostatectomy and those with suspected biochemical recurrence of prostate cancer.
