Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CU Xiu Tang is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) decoction developed by the Eye & ENT Hospital of Fudan University for the treatment of olfactory dysfunction. It is primarily investigated as a combination therapy alongside olfactory training to enhance the recovery of smell in patients suffering from post-viral or idiopathic olfactory loss. As a multi-component herbal formula, it is designed to modulate the microenvironment of the olfactory mucosa and potentially promote the regeneration of olfactory sensory neurons. Clinical evaluation has been conducted through randomized controlled trials to assess its efficacy in improving olfactory scores compared to standard olfactory training alone.
