CUE-102 is a novel Fc-engineered fusion protein designed to selectively activate and expand tumor antigen-specific CD8+ T cells for the treatment of Wilms Tumor 1 (WT1)-positive cancers. It is composed of a human leukocyte antigen (HLA) complex (HLA-A*0201), a peptide epitope derived from the WT1 protein, and four molecules of reduced affinity human interleukin-2 (IL-2). The drug works by binding to, expanding, and activating WT1-specific CD8+ T cells, thereby promoting targeted immune responses against WT1-expressing cancer cells. CUE-102 is being developed as part of Cue Biopharma's Immuno-STAT platform and is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials for patients with recurrent or metastatic solid tumors that express WT1, including colorectal, gastric/gastroesophageal junction, pancreatic, and ovarian cancers.
