Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cue-Mate is a veterinary intravaginal progesterone delivery device used primarily in cattle to control and synchronize the oestrous cycle and to induce cyclicity in anoestrous cows. The system consists of a reusable “wishbone” carrier with one or two replaceable progesterone-containing pods that release progesterone locally into the vaginal mucosa over 6–8 days, suppressing follicular maturation and ovulation and allowing timed estrus synchronization protocols when used with oestradiol benzoate and/or prostaglandin F2α analogues.[2][10] This controlled-release device enables fixed-time artificial insemination programs and improved reproductive management in beef and dairy herds, with formulations and handling designed for animal comfort and the option to adjust progesterone dose (e.g., one active pod plus one blank pod for Bos indicus heifers).[2][9][15]
