Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CUG105 is a next-generation long-acting interleukin-15 (IL-15) therapeutic developed by Cugene. It is designed to harness specific immune cells for the treatment of solid tumors and bladder cancer. As an IL-15 replacement and T lymphocyte stimulant, it acts as an immunotherapy and antineoplastic agent by stimulating the proliferation and activation of T cells, which play a critical role in anti-tumor immunity. The drug is classified as a new molecular entity and has not been granted orphan drug status. As of April 2022, it was in preclinical development for both bladder cancer and solid tumors[1].
