Overview

CUG279 (also known as VitoKine 2) is a novel tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL)-targeting, tumor-activatable interleukin-2 (IL-2) replacement therapy. It is being developed by Cugene for the treatment of solid tumors. The drug acts as an immunotherapy and antineoplastic agent by stimulating T lymphocytes through IL-2 receptor activation. Its design aims to enhance anti-tumor immune responses while minimizing systemic toxicity typically associated with traditional IL-2 therapies. As of June 2024, CUG279 remains in preclinical development for solid tumors[1][2].
