Cuitang granules is a traditional Tibetan medicine (TTM) developed by Gansu Qizheng Tibetan Medicine for the treatment of respiratory infections, including the common cold and influenza. It is a granular formulation of the traditional Cuitang formula, which is also available in pill form (Cuitang Pills). The drug is primarily utilized for its antipyretic and anti-inflammatory properties to alleviate symptoms such as fever and systemic inflammation associated with viral upper respiratory tract infections. Clinical development in China has reached Phase III, specifically evaluating the 24-hour antipyretic rate as a primary efficacy endpoint in patients with the common cold.
