Overview

Cultured stromal vascular fraction (cSVF) is an autologous or allogeneic cell therapy product derived from adipose tissue. Unlike fresh SVF, which is obtained through immediate enzymatic digestion or mechanical dissociation of lipoaspirate, cSVF involves the ex vivo expansion of the cellular components in a controlled laboratory environment. This process significantly increases the total cell count and enriches for specific regenerative populations, primarily mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs), endothelial progenitor cells, and pericytes. cSVF is investigated for its immunomodulatory, angiogenic, and tissue-repair properties in a variety of conditions, including osteoarthritis, chronic wounds, and autoimmune disorders. The therapeutic mechanism is primarily mediated through the secretion of a complex secretome containing growth factors and cytokines that promote healing, reduce inflammation, and stimulate new blood vessel formation.
